10 anos, 10 idiomas

Primeiramente, eu estava escrevendo um post gigante sobre isso, explicando os detalhes em longas frases... então decidi deixar mais limpo (e mais fácil de traduzir :P ).

O que é?

Estou oficializando meu desafio pessoal de falar 10 diferente idiomas até 2023. Há algumas regras adicionais (ver abaixo).

Quais são os idiomas escolhidos? (não necessariamente na ordem)

- Alemão;

- Francês;

- Russo;

- Persa;

- Hindi;

- Árabe;

- Japonês;

- Mandarim Chinês;

- Finlandês;

- Turco.

*Adicionais:

- Swahili;

- Havaiano.

E quais são as regras?

- Como pode-se ver acima, nenhuma das dez (ou doze) são línguas artificiais. Isso significa que Toki Pona, Esperanto, Quenya e as outras não contarão;

- Fluência, uma palavra um tanto subjetiva, é necessária. Isso significa que eu deverei ser capaz de sobreviver usando tais idiomas sem auxílio de outro, então não precisarei saber palavras muito técnicas, mas deverei saber a gramática. (É só o começo de um projeto bem maior, então sem preocupações quanto à fluência);

- Isso é opcional, mas eu gostaria muito de conseguir seguí-la: português e inglês não contam, já que eu já era fluente neles no começo do ano (quando decidi encarar o desafio).

Por que esses dez?

Eu li em uma revista uma entrevista com um hiperpoliglota, que disse que os idiomas mais difíceis de aprender são os dez primeiros. Seguindo isso, escolhi idiomas de diferentes ramos do Proto-Indo-Europeu em alguns de fora, tentando deixá-lo (o desafio, ou "os dez primeiros") o mais difícil possível.

Bom, espero que, postando isso, eu me force a estudar mais e, também, espero inspirar mais pessoas a fazê-lo :)

10 years, 10 languages

Firstly, I was writing a huge post about it, explaining the details in long sentences... then I decided to make it clearer (and easier to traslate :P ).

What's that?
I am officializing my self-challenge of speaking 10 different languages until 2023. There are some additional rules (see below).

What are the chosen languages? (not necessarily in order)
- German;
- French;
- Russian;
- Persian;
- Hindi;
- Arabic;
- Japanese;
- Mandarin Chinese;
- Finnish;
- Turkish.
*Adicional:
- Swahili;
- Hawaiian.

And what are the rules?
- As you can see above, none of those ten (or twelve) are constructed languages. That means Toki Pona, Esperanto, Quenya and the others won't count;
- Fluency, which is quite a subjetive word, is needed. This means, I should be able to survive using those languages with no aid of other, so I won't need to know too technical words, but I'll have to know grammar. (It's just the beggining of a much greater project, so, no worries about fluency);
- This is optional, but I'd really like to follow it: Portuguese and English won't count, as I was already fluent in them in the beginning of the year (when I decided to take the challenge).

Why those ten?
I read on a magazine an interview with a hyperpolyglot, who said that the most diffult languages to learn are the first ten. Following this, I've chosen languages from diferent braches of Proto-Indo-European and some from outside, trying to make it (the challenge, or "the first ten") as difficult as possible.

Well, I hope, by posting this, I force myself to study more and, also, I hope to inspire more people to do this :)
